Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a list of the most frequently asked questions. If there is anything more you would like to ask, please do not hesitate to do so. Send your questions to infousa@sovella.com.  We will get back to you as soon as possible.

Why three module widths?

Modularity enables you to customise our workstations to suit your needs. Three sizes help you to find a standard size which suits you.

Why a steel frame?

Metal makes our products very durable, and is thus an ideal base material. Constructing frames from steel instead of aluminium gives our products the best price/durability ratio. Steel is also a fully recyclable material. Last but not least, we can shape sheet metal as rapidly as needed using our modern machines. Sheet metal is like wax in our hands, we can even redesign basic structures, which cannot be done using aluminium extrusions.

Why height adjustment?

The height adjustment is a key figure in our ”Human Workspaces” philosophy. We wanted to create an environment where people of different sizes could work together.

Why are there black dots on the surface?

When the ESD-pigment is used, the surface has microscopic black dots. Therefore, the tone is somewhat darker than the color code.

How long is a standard warranty?

The standard warranty for our steel products is 3 years. With other parts, such as electronic components, the warranty is the one given by the manufacturer, and therefore varies case by case.

Will my order ship directly from Finland to me?

Sovella maintains more than 1 million dollars of product stock to provide quick delivery service to the North American market. Orders are shipped from our US based stocking warehouse in Kennesaw, GA. Delivery times and costs will vary based on the shipping address.

Why Finland?

Finland is a geographically ideal location for our main market areas in Europe, the United States and China. Raw materials are also easily available close to our factory. Furthermore, Finland has a long tradition in shaping steel products and a high level of education, which provide the necessary know-how for designing human workspaces.

How do I pronounce Jyväskylä?

Jyväskylä is probably about the most difficult Finnish word to pronounce, and it is downright impossible to give the correct pronunciation guidelines in writing. Perhaps it is best to refer to Finland's midmost city or the WRC rally capital.
